Coaching Sessions
What is “Meditation Coaching”?
Coaching is structured guidance provided by a trained professional towards a desired outcome presented by the client or student. The Cambridge dictionary defines coaching as “the job or activity of providing training for people, or helping people to be prepared for something. The coach asks questions through which the client himself finds the solution to his/her own tasks”.
Meditation is to : 1. “Engage in contemplation or reflection”. 2. “ To engage in an exercise (concentration, breathing, mantra) for the purpose of reaching a heightened level of spiritual awareness”.
Meditation Coaching is the co-creating of an action plan designed to resolve a present concern of the client through exploration of the origin, present status and desired outcome of the presenting issue. Guided meditation is integrated into the coaching process as a way by which the client might discover personal insights, increased awareness and clear options for action.
Meditation Coaching Engagements
All meditation coaching engagements include a forty-five minute introduction session. Sessions may be in person or on-line.
Engagement A
- A three – month engagement that includes:
- Introductory session of 45 minutes
- Weekly one – hour session; a total of 12 individual sessions
- Weekly meditation exercises and follow up
- Electronic support via e-mail
- Commitment: There will be no more that three clients engaged for this offering within the same time frame.
Engagement B
- A three – month engagement that includes:
- Introductory session of 45 minutes
- Bi-weekly, one – hour session; a total of 6 sessions
- Bi-weekly exercise and follow up
- Electronic support via e-mail
- Commitment: There will be no more than 3 clients engaged for this offering within the same time frame.
Engagement C
- A three – month engagement that includes:
- Introductory session of 45 minutes
- Eight, one-half hour sessions
- Two meditation exercises over the three – month period
- Electronic support via e-mail
